I ACTUALLY LOOK FORWARD TO EXERCISING!
I am a 58 year old petite woman. I used to weigh around 125 pounds, but I was ill for several years and got up to 180 pounds! I finally decided that I had to do something about this weight gain. My husband got a flyer from work for Fortitude. So I decided to give it a try!
I have a personal trainer who is just wonderful and takes into account my health issues. We do all sorts of exercises that work on the whole body. (It’s certainly NOT treadmills etc.) I go about 2-3 times a week. When I started, the thought of doing push ups was laughable! Now I can do them. I have lost about thirty pounds and have gotten considerably stronger and firmer.
I believe that the exercise has helped my health issues and plan to keep attending! My doctors are thrilled that I am doing this and I feel like a different person. I actually look forward to exercising!

Motivation without intimidation. That’s the best way to describe the personal training at Fortitude. I’ve never had a personal trainer before so I was a little apprehensive going in. They’ve been great at working around my fluctuating work hours to schedule appointments, and the trainers at Fortitude do a great job at making me feel at ease. They tailor made a workout regiment for me that varies each week to keep it interesting and challenging while helping me work towards my goals. I can’t get enough!

My mom once told me that if you have your health you really do have everything. That is something I have lived by for a decade. As a busy executive who travels every week and mom of two young boys, making sure I get my daily workout in is critical for balance, stress relief and of course my health. Having each hour I spend at Fortitude be challenging and rewarding has been what I have loved most about coming here.
After having a trainer for the last two years, transitioning to a new trainer who understood what I needed out of my workouts made me hesitant.
But I’ve never looked back since I’ve been at Fortitude. The atmosphere is like none other. Clean, unique, variety, cutting edge for training. There is something about when you walk in, you get energized to conquer whatever challenge is awaiting you in your session. I am hard driver, like to be pushed to do more and always be better. That is exactly what the staff does in every single session. They and the atmosphere motivate me to give 200 percent each time. I always leave ready to take on whatever challenges work or life may bring that day, leaving with a clear mind, more energy and always a feeling of accomplishment. I am so glad I found them, truly a staple now in my life!

21 months ago I began a weight loss plan for myself – 12 months ago I reached a goal I was finally truly satisfied with for the first time in my life! The challenge for me in past years has been maintaining the weight loss and not gaining it back; this final effort is even more important because I jumped off the losing/gaining roller-coaster and, another first in my dieting life, I did not hold on to my pre-weight loss clothes for my usual “just in case I can’t keep it off.” I credit personal training for inspiring me to stay focused on my own personal goals.
More than a decade ago I remember feeling that I was in the best condition of my life – I now know that while I may have been in good condition then, I had no idea what the best condition of my life could actually feel like – until now – and it feels amazing! Personal training at the Fort is worth every drop (or stream) of sweat – absolutely money well spent!

I attend several classes at Fortitude weekly and have done some personal training at other gyms in the past. At other locations I felt that the routines were generic, applicable to all clients.
I needed to work around some restrictions due to arthritis and prior injuries so I decided to hook up with the trainers at Fortitude for some one on one time. The trainer is very in tune to my needs, I feel challenged and have gotten helpful feedback on my form.
A couple unexpected benefits included major improvements to my posture and core strength. I have been able to adapt the trainers advice to my daily workouts and use their tips during group classes to get the most out of my efforts. Personal training seemed like a luxury, my first set of sessions was a gift from my husband, I am so happy that I continued with more sessions. I look and feel great thanks to my time at the The Fort.

After personal training at the Fort, I’ve had very noticeable results with toning, increased endurance and weight loss.
I’ve always been very active and have always made it a priority to stay in shape. I accomplished this mostly in the past through running. In the prior year, I became somewhat lax on my running due to life’s demands, and when you combine that with the “gracefulness” of aging, it can make for a very tough road back to where you considered yourself to be at your best.
I knew I needed more than running, and when my friend recommended the Fort, I thought I would give it a try. So glad I did! I’m currently training on average 3 sessions/week and look forward to each and every one. Each session is specifically formulated for you and always addresses your individual needs without forgetting the cardio side of it. I am so pleased with the endless variety of training exercises that are incorporated which makes it fun and yet always targets the areas where I still want to see results! I highly recommend personal training at the Fort.
